Hotel linens are a general term used in the accommodation industry to refer to textile products used in guest rooms, bathrooms, and catering settings, encompassing items such as sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, bath towels, and tablecloths. They are categorized into three main types based on their use: guest room linens, bathroom linens, and catering linens. Storage requires a dedicated linen room (cabinet), and a system of separating clean and used linens for separate storage is implemented.
When purchasing linens, selection should be based on the characteristics of different materials such as cotton, linen, satin, and bamboo fiber. Pure cotton fabrics prioritize breathability and heat resistance, bamboo fiber possesses natural air-permeable pores and ecological properties, and linen fabrics have antibacterial properties. Washing must follow the classification principle and use neutral detergents. Outsourced washing and disinfection services must have signed agreements and the qualifications of the washing organizations verified. According to the "Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Management of Public Places Hygiene," linen washing and disinfection must meet national hygiene standards, and a strict one-guest-one-change system must be implemented; violators will face administrative penalties.
