(1) Different bedding fabrics require different washing methods. Carefully read the washing instructions on the bedding label. The general washing steps for bedding are as follows: First, dissolve a neutral detergent in water below 30 degrees Celsius, then add the items to be washed; soak for about 10-15 minutes before rinsing; hang the washed bedding to dry, but do not expose it to direct sunlight for extended periods.

(2) When washing pillowcases or comforters, it is best to use a front-loading washing machine or hand wash; newly purchased bedding should be gently washed with clean water for the first time, and bleach should not be used; printed bedding sets may sometimes experience color bleeding during washing, which is normal.

(3) Bedding should be washed clean and dried before seasonal changes, then stored in a dry place. In humid southern regions, it should be aired regularly. Bedding is generally not prone to large-area soiling and is easy to clean and maintain, but the washing and maintenance methods for different fabrics vary greatly. Check the washing instructions for each product before washing and maintaining it.

(4) When storing bedding, pay attention to separating dark and light-colored fabrics. Fold them neatly when storing. Putting an appropriate amount of mothballs in cotton fabrics can prevent them from getting mildewed and moth-eaten. The same method can be used to prevent mildew and moth-eaten wool and silk quilts. However, do not put mothballs in silk and wool fabrics to avoid yellowing. Place them in a place with suitable humidity and good ventilation.
