Bedding is a core category in the home textile industry, referring to a collection of items placed on a bed for sleep, including basic categories such as quilts, sheets, and pillows. Functionally, it is divided into covers (duvet covers, bedspreads, sheets), pillows (pillowcases, pillow cores), quilts (air-conditioned quilts), and bedding sets (four-piece sets). In 2022, the industry's sales revenue reached 85.574 billion yuan, and it is projected to exceed 90 billion yuan in 2023. Product manufacturing involves spinning and weaving processes. Fabric materials include pure cotton, satin, and silk, with yarn counts commonly ranging from 30S to 60S. Density affects the fabric's density. When purchasing, pay attention to product instructions, fiber content, colorfastness, and other quality inspection indicators. It is recommended to rinse before first use to remove surface sizing.

The textile industry can be divided into three sub-sectors based on its end use: apparel textiles, industrial textiles, and decorative textiles. Decorative textiles are generally also known as home textiles, and the bedding industry is a sub-sector of home textiles. Bedding is an important part of home textiles. According to the classification of the China Home Textile Association, it includes: 1. Bedding; 2. Curtains; 3. Bathroom and kitchen textiles; 4. Furniture textiles (cushions, seat cushions), etc. Among these, bedding ranks first in the home textile industry, accounting for more than one-third of the industry's output value, reaching 100 billion RMB in 2004; and around 250 billion RMB in 2006, including products such as sheets, quilts, and pillows. In China, the bedding industry is also known as the bedding industry, or the bedding, sleeping furniture, and interior soft furnishings industry. The concept of complete bedding sets refers to the integrated design of various individual bedding items, sold as a set.
